DaVinci Resolve seems to be a buggy and poorly supported program in linux, and even it installs to a computer, it does not launch at all in many cases (google DaVinci Resolve linux). Anyway it seems to work somehow in PCLinuxOS, but it can not handle its place in screen (it locates itself on the right corner). Also media import not working .. or I just dot not know how it works. Also program launcher is missing from the menu, so it need to add by hand.
If trying to install to deb-distros, it does not work at all, even computer if faily new and powerful. A funny thing that Resolve does not reqognize hardware like cameras or microphone.
Anyway if you want to torture yourself, you can install DaVinci Resolve from an installation package:
https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/support/family/davinci-resolve-and-fusion
In PclinuxOS you need to install packages lib64gstreamer0.10_0.10 and lib64gstreamer0.10_0.10-devel
su
apt-get install lib64gstreamer0.10_0.10 lib64gstreamer0.10_0.10-devel
If you want to use workable program, install Kdenlive
Edit: 26.11.2023: One way to get Resolve working, is to install first version 18.6 and the install version 12.5 over 18.6 without removing 18.6
